Bored of reading long stories? Grab
the copy of Fantastic 40 and dive into the world of 40 beautifully crafted
micro stories.
My Opinion:
Positives:
All the stores are knitted around
simple incidents of life that are ignored by us in our busy schedules, which we
mistook as life. But this story will take you to the depths of each and every
human emotion, be it love humor, sadness, grieve, loss and what not. With
simple and easy to understand narration, each and every page you unfold will
bring a smile on your face, leave a tear in your eyes or will let you think
deeply into your own self. The stories are so gripping that you will not be
able to stop yourself from finishing the book in one-go. Also, the book cover
and book title goes perfect with the content present in the book.
Shortcomings:
Though some of the stories will
make you fall in love with the book, there are some which I found a bit ‘not-connecting’.
Also, some minute grammatical errors leave a bit of negative impact on the
readers.
Best stories:
A Night in Solitude
Clumsy Old Lady
Titli’s Mom
Even In Baby show
Met Him By Chance
Tsimasham
Handicap
Last Time With My Boyfriend
Final Comment:
With captivating literature and
wonderful story telling skills, Reetwika Banerjee has given life to each and
every character one will read about in the story. A must read, indeed.
