Because You don't owe them.

In life, it is very important to understand our choices, other’s choices and the way we and others handle our choices. I know that there is a factor naming SOCIETAL PRESSURE which is molding us to take the decisions we don’t want to take in our life. But that’s what we have to pass through. They will keep on telling you what’s best for you, but there it will be ‘you’ who will decide what is good/bad for you.
Let them ask you-why don’t you get married?

Let them ask you-why is your life like that?

Let them ask you-what your priorities are?
Let them ask you-why aren't you sorry for what you have done?
Let them ask you- Why don’t you agree with them?
Let them ask you- Why can’t you say a yes?
Let them ask you- Why can’t you change your appearance (lose weight, gain weight, cut short your hair, don’t cut short your hair etc.)?
Let them ask you- Why don’t you eat this?
Let them ask you- Why did you choose to be a _____ (Writer, Teacher, Banker, Doctor, Engineer, Businessman, Scientist or a Thief)?
Let them ask you- Why don’t you visit temples/Mosques/ Church or any such places?
Let them ask you whatever they want to, but answer them only what you want to. Remember in life, you were not born to answer people about the choices you make, priorities you choose, profession you choose and what/what not you want to eat, just because it’s YOUR CHOICE and you don’t owe their explanations and answers to anyone. It depends on you:
How you want to lead your life?
Whom do you wish to give priority in your life? (Everybody, Somebody, Nobody)
What religious views and beliefs you want to carry on with your life? (All, none)
What do you want to become? (A beggar or an entrepreneur, maybe)
Just because you don’t owe their answers to anyone, you don’t need to answer these if you don’t want to. You are the master, creator, narrator and spoiler of your life. You can live your life the way you want to, or the way others want it to be. But keep it in mind that it’s your life and you don’t owe your life’s decisions, answers and priorities to anyone.

Points to remember:
1. You don’t owe anyone an explanation for your living situation.
2. You don’t owe anyone an explanation for your life priorities.
3. You don’t owe anyone an apology if you are not sorry.
4. You don’t owe anyone an explanation for not giving them time.
5. You don’t owe anyone your agreement on their personal beliefs.
6. You don’t owe anyone a yes to everything they say.
7. You don’t owe anyone an explanation for your physical appearance.
8. You don’t owe anyone an explanation for your food preferences.
9. You don’t owe anyone an explanation for your career or personal life choices.
10. You don’t owe anyone an explanation for your religious or political views.

This story doesn't ends here. Like a coin has two sides, this has its other side as well. Ok! You have understood that you don’t owe your life to anyone, but then even others don’t owe any explanations to you for what they are doing in their life.
If you don’t want others interference in your life, you have to start with yourself, by not expecting the same from them.
1. Don’t expect others to discuss their choices with you.
2. Don’t expect others to always say you a yes.
3. Don’t expect that everyone will agree with you in your beliefs.

I totally AGREE to what you what written. We don't have to not do something just because we would be under an obligation to answer, justify, clarify or whatever may be the term.
    Keep writing.
