I am NOT a Terrorist
-By Sunil Sinha
Plot:
A conspiracy is being planned by Lashkar-e-Toiba to kill top politicians and defense personnel of India. On the other hand, Flt. Lt. Rahul Varma who had been reported missing since 1999 Kargil war and had been rescued recently from Lashkar-e-Toiba is returning back to India.
Meera, a RAW officer, believes that Rahul is related to the entire ruckus that is planned against India. But the top officials don’t believe this considering Rahul’s army background.
Will Meera be able to save top Indian leaders from getting killed?
Will Lashkar-e-Toiba get successful in their plotting?
Who is the actual planner behind all the conspiracy?
What will make Rahul cry for himself that “I AM NOT A TERRORIST”?
From the writer of Guruji’s Ashram, Sunil Sinha, comes another intense thriller. Pick this and dive into the conspiracies that followed.
Positives:
Woven on the story of India and Pakistan’s conflicts, I am not a terrorist is a wonderful effort by Sunil Sinha which delves deep into the reasons and backgrounds behind the history and hatred they share for each other.
Each and every detail is precisely described, be it about wars or about the details and chemical compositions of things involved in the book. Detailing technically, the book was written in a simple and easily understandable language. A wide number of characters are added to the book to give a detailed version of the story and are well described and justified in the ending. A perfect start is been given to the book to create a spark of curiosity in the minds of the readers. The story is well thought of and penned along with the narration which is simple and non-confusing.
Book cover and title match well with the content and story present in the book.
Negatives:
Irrespective of the perfect start which is given to the book, it becomes a bit slow in the middle. There were some grammatical and spell errors for sure but they will not stop from continuing the book keeping in mind the suspense it reveals. Not only this, some of the historical background of Abdul and the terrorist acts he had committed will at some point force the reader to skip some 7-10 pages of the book. The character of Priyanka and Meera could have ended a bit well especially that of Priyanka.
My viewpoint:
Keeping in mind the sensitivity of the issue highlighted in the book, Sunil has never ever created any bad impact for any country. The best part of the book was that even the enemies of the book hero’s understand that love is above all the hatred we share for each other. The meaning of Jihad, which is well defined in the ending chapters also touched my heart which forced me to mention it in my review.
For me the best line from the book was:
“Those fools will broadcast live news of all their army activities, including the movement of their troops and the plans of Indian Army and their politician’s point of view….everything”
Dedicated to Indian media, I definitely agree with this sad but true fact about our media industry.
Last but not the least, If you are looking for a curiosity creating thriller in the new year, pick this book to start your reading journey in 2016.
Final Rating:
Book Cover and Title: 4/5
Plot, language and Literature: 4/5
Character Justification: 3.5/5
Final Rating: 3.75/5
